Artifact Detail And Editing

Artifact Detail is the main workspace for reviewing and refining generated output.

Depending on artifact type, you can:

  • Play audio/video output.
  • View grounding evidence and citations.
  • Review the artifact accessibility panel, including 508-ready status, findings, and suggested alt text for visual assets.
  • Review infographic validation results when an infographic was generated with Validation Review enabled, including the validation summary, findings, and report link.
  • Review generation cost and model usage, including video model spend when a render generates Veo transition clips.
  • Review request-level usage history captured for generation, regeneration, chat-assisted edits, and storyboard preview work through the artifact’s cost and model sections.
  • Edit title and transcript content.
  • Open image editing for generated visuals.
  • Open timeline editing for video workflows.
  • Save or unsave an artifact to your personal saved list.

Artifact Detail now includes a product-wide accessibility review panel alongside usage and cost details.

Use it to:

  • Check whether the asset currently reports as 508 ready, manual review, or needs attention.
  • Read the stored findings generated at artifact-finalization time.
  • Copy suggested alt text and long descriptions for image-heavy outputs such as infographics and thumbnails.
  • Confirm whether a human QA pass is still required before external delivery.

This panel is global to generated assets and is not tied to Brand Controls.

For infographic artifacts, the accessibility panel also includes a regenerate action that reuses the current infographic as the source image, applies the latest accessibility findings as edit guidance, and saves the refined result as another selectable image version.

If an infographic was generated with Validation Review turned on, artifact detail now includes a dedicated validation panel.

Use it to:

  • Confirm whether the final infographic passed review as-is or required one automatic correction pass.
  • Read the saved validation summary and findings without opening backend logs.
  • Open the stored validation report when one is available.

During generation, the running job status also surfaces validation as its own live step so you can tell when the system is checking the rendered infographic against the original evidence.

Use the grounding panel to inspect where output claims came from in project source files.

For grounding concepts, read Understanding Grounding.

Artifacts can move through review states such as draft, pending review, changes requested, and approved. These states feed dashboard workflow queues.

For slide deck artifacts, artifact detail opens the Slide Deck Editor.

Use it for:

  • Slide-level review and slide selection.
  • Layer editing for slide title and body text.
  • Visual replacement for the active slide image.
  • Conversational chat edits to the deck.
  • Exporting to PowerPoint or PDF.

Use these patterns to get more predictable results:

  • Keep inputs specific and scoped to one intent per generation request.
  • Save intermediate outputs often, especially before running major edits or regenerations.
  • Use review and assignment workflows early to reduce rework late in the lifecycle.

If results are not what you expected:

  • Verify source quality first (missing context, inconsistent structure, or conflicting inputs reduce output quality).
  • Re-check selected options and audience/profile settings before re-running.
  • If a job fails repeatedly, wait briefly and retry once; then escalate with the artifact or job context.

Different input context, settings, and model/runtime conditions can produce different outputs.

Regenerate when the core structure is wrong; manually edit when only wording, ordering, or style needs adjustment.
